The Dordogne at Beynac-et-Cazenac

Beynac is on the river Dordogne, and is an historic medieval fortified township, and well attended by the tourists in the high season.

I painted this one in late Autumn as you can probably tell. The river takes a very lazy twist around a bend, and then continues on it’s way. Very relaxing – the only disturbance was the continuous sound of the fish rising!
